BCD Travel has earned a gold rating in an independent assessment measuring its sustainability performance for the fourth consecutive year.
With the rating, the Travel Management Company: An agency which manages business travel for a company. says it is in the top 1 per cent of all suppliers assessed by EcoVadis, a platform for Corporate Social Responsibility: A concept whereby companies and organisations form policies for the good of society. Responsibity is taken for the impact which an organisation's activities have on, f... audits for global supply chains. BCD uses this assessment to demonstrate its transparency as a supplier partner and to enhance its brand.
The EcoVadis methodology examines 21 criteria across four themes of environment, fair labour practices, ethics/fair business practices and supply chain.
BCD has also recently been recognised by WINiT by GBTA for its work in promoting a women-related corporate social responsibility project. Earlier this year, the TMC was awarded Best Corporate Social Responsibility Programme at the Business Travel Awards.
