Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT) has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Joe Beevis as general manager for the UK and Ireland and Aisha Battersby as head of customer experience.
Beevis joined Flight Centre Travel Group in 2010 and has experience across the company’s leisure and business travel brands. He began his career in management positions at FCBT retail stores in London before moving to Round the World Experts in 2014. In 2018 he was appointed head of specialist retail, managing First & Business, Complex Air and Groups and at the start of 2019 he assumed the role of head of digital transformation at FCBT, where he has been responsible for driving development of the brand’s technology solutions.
Meanwhile, Battersby previously held the role of head of strategic account management across both FCBT and its sister division Corporate Traveller, where she was responsible for restructuring account management processes for larger Small and medium-sized enterprises customers. Her career with the group began in 2011 as business development manager at Corporate Traveller before being promoted to head of account management in 2014. In 2015 Battersby was appointed general manager of stage and screen travel services to launch Flight Centre’s specialist division servicing clients in the film, music and creative industries in the UK.
Alison Zacher, retail MD of Flight Centre Travel Group, said: “Joe’s complete determination to succeed, relentless drive and positive good nature stands him in perfect stead to take on the reins of FCBT as general manager and spearhead its continued growth. Aisha is also ideally placed to take up the newly created role of head of customer experience to drive FCBT’s focus on giving customers the products and services they need, thanks to her unique experience within sister Small and medium-sized enterprises specialist business travel division Corporate Traveller.”
Beevis commented: “Having worked with corporate customers across various Flight Centre divisions, I’m delighted to take on this role and further improve our offering to our customers. This is an exciting time as FCBT will be developing and strengthening its position in the UK business travel market with advances in all aspects of the organisation, from operations through to technology over the coming months.”
Battersby added: “I’m excited to be bringing my experience of the Small and medium-sized enterprises business travel sector and account management to this role. I am looking forward to continuing to make FCBT even more customer-centric and driving FCBT’s growth, whilst ensuring that customers receive an amazing personal experience and engage fully with our products and services.”
