GroundScope is targeting further growth following its addition to the London Stock Exchange’s Elite group.
Elite is LSEG’s “international business support and capital raising ecosystem for ambitious and high growth companies”, which includes 1,000 international firms, advisers and investors.
Managed ground transportation taxi service GroundScope is one of 150 UK companies that are part of Elite, and last month it unveiled a new iOS app for its clients globally.
John McCallion, chief executive and founder of GroundScope, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Elite ecosystem and look forward to working with other ambitious, fast-growing companies and via the programme structure our planned growth to ensure we continue to deliver a world-class service to a global marketplace.
“The opportunity to have input into our business strategy and development from other successful business leaders, entrepreneurs and expert advisers is invaluable to companies like GroundScope with global growth aspirations. We plan to learn and contribute and assist other fast-growing companies in the programme so that we all benefit from each other’s knowledge and business experience.”
Umerah Akram, head of Elite UK, London Stock Exchange, added: “I’m excited to present the latest group of UK companies to join ELITE, a clear demonstration of the country’s ability to grow great businesses. These companies drive innovation, employment, and create opportunities for us all.
“Elite is committed to giving the British business stars of the future the very best chance to succeed, providing them with access to appropriate expertise and capital. It is a unique, strong community of the best and most dynamic entrepreneurs, advisers, investors and business school academics from the UK, Europe and around the world.”
Elite says it helps ambitious companies prepare and structure for the next stage of growth through access to long-term financing opportunities.
