Australia-based Troovo Payments has signed two major deals to provide virtual payment services to Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) and mTrip.
Under the agreement with FCTG, Troovo Payments, which offers a digital and virtual payment processing platform powered by Robotic Process Automation (RPA), will integrate its engine to enable “invisible payments” across all of the group’s systems and platforms. Troovo said this will create a secure, automated and touch-free solution for payments made to FCTG’s suppliers.
Richard Humphreys, FCTG’s global treasurer, said: “Flight Centre Travel Group continues to focus on innovation, efficiency and next-generation technology to drive continuous growth and simplify processes. Troovo gives us flexibility and scalability on a global basis and we are really excited to be working with Troovo to use its unique and innovative RPA solution to achieve our objectives for efficiency, cost-savings and revenue optimisation.”
Troovo’s co-founder and CEO Kurt Knackstedt added: “Flight Centre Travel Group has always pushed the envelope around new ways of thinking about its business and giving new technology a go, and we are thrilled to partner with the company to help it achieve its payment objectives.”
Meanwhile, Troovo is also now integrated with mTrip’s mobile app and platform solutions, providing the company’s customers and their corporate travellers the ability to access and display any and all virtual cards generated within their bookings, including both the front and rear of the card.
The new virtual card functionality will be launched in partnership with Travel Management Company: An agency which manages business travel for a company. Altour’s joint venture partner Milne Travel via the Altour mobile app, with the first customer to implement the integration being blockchain technology company ConsenSys.
Frederic de Pardieu, founder and chief executive of mTrip, commented: “Virtual cards continue to transform the travel booking and payment experience through higher security and better data, however the traveller’s user experience must also be considered to ensure high adoption. mTrip’s world-leading custom mobile experience is now further enhanced with the Troovo Payments integration so that travellers around the world can now access their virtual card details at their fingertips via their travel agency’s mobile app powered by mTrip.”
Knackstedt said: “The seamless integration of travellers’ itinerary information displayed with the virtual card details for each segment of the booking means the traveller has everything they need for a hassle-free journey with their virtual cards. Combining the security and accuracy of robotically-generated virtual cards with the visibility of those cards directly within the traveller’s mobile ensures that the value of virtual cards is fully aligned across both corporate and traveller needs.”
