New ceo at Aeroflot
The board of Aeroflot, the Russian carrier, has appointed Vitaly Saveliev as its new ceo.
Mr Saveliev, previously an executive at services conglomerate Sistema, has no experience of the aviation industry.
He has been elected to hold the ceo post for five years.
His arrival comes after the Aeroflot board sacked Valery Okulov who had been its ceo for 12 years.
Mr Okulov, son-in-law of the previous Russian president Boris Yeltsin, has been appointed as one of six deputies to the Russian transport minister.
